Here’s an article on the Law of Attraction and depression.
Easier Said Than Done
You go to bed knowing that you will feel better in the morning. You lay your exhausted head on the pillow and try to visualize, but you’re just not up to it…maybe in the morning. You wake up in the morning in tears and feeling that you are alone.
How can you possibly expect to feel any grateful thoughts like this? You drag yourself out of bed and completely forget about visualization. You wonder why you keep crying. You put on a brave front for the kids and pretend to be happy about their day at school. You kiss your husband goodbye and when everyone finally clears out you wonder how you’ll make it through the day.
There’s nothing to be happy about. You are tired, that’s all. Tired of life and then you cry some more. How can you possibly apply the Law of Attraction feeling like this? This is an all too common scenario. The Law of Attraction takes work… Work on your inner self. It can appear that it is just easier to accept the life you are living rather than change you, but the change is worth it.
So how do you start when you feel so bad? Take small steps. Start with affirmations. Listen to what is running through your head over and over again. Maybe it’s a chorus of I’m always tired. I want my life to change but I don’t know how. If this is running through your head over and over again, you’ll want to write down the complete opposite. For example: I have so much energy. My life is changing for the good and I know exactly how to change it. Make the new phrase your mantra. When you hear how tired you are, counteract it with your new affirmation. If you are not up to visualizing right now, just say your affirmation before bed. Start with just one and then continue to make more for all the other negative affirmations you may have.
Slowly but surely you will find you will feel a little better. Then you can take the next step and find what you really want in life. Then start working on visualizations.
You will soon leave the space you are in…if you want to. This is important: If you WANT to. You have to want to change your life for the better, but it’s worth it with the Law of Attraction because it’s guaranteed. Trust that the Universe will bring you the desire to be happy in your life. Then each day will get better and better when applying the Law of Attraction. www.bethandleemccain.com

Ah that’s music to my ears. As an Holistic Pracitioner I have seen plenty of people who are always tired and one thing I like to promote is the law of attraction. Undfortunately being always tired and often feeling deprepressed is a really hard place to start from.
I would echo what you said to your readers though, trust in the universe. Also, remember that although it is difficult to understand right now it is possible that there is a bigger reason for this. Maybe you need to make a big change in your life and feeling like this is the only thing to prompt you to do it? It’s worth a thought.
Lovely article, I hope lots of people feel it can be of some help

Thanks for your post.
I am a newbie at the LoA and also suffer from depression.
I have had some successes already with the LoA and am very grateful for those.
Lately, as the depression tries to gain strength, I have become more and more fearful of the LoA. When I am depressed, I know I think depressing thoughts. Then I get scared that the LoA will come into effect and make things worse.
I am also concerned that the LoA can become an excuse to practice denial on a grand scale. There are issues I am working through with my therapist. How do I articulate and work through these issues without causing the LoA to attract more of it to myself? I know I cannot simplistically “release” these issues. That would be suppressing them – compounding my depression. At what point does LoA/reframing become damaging because it is denying and avoiding issues?

Deconstruct your issues. What we mean by that is definitely look your issues ‘head on’ but without all the emotion that is attached to the past. Observe as best as you can and find out what it is that you should learn through your issues and then build on the present. ‘Letting go’ can only happen when you have come to terms and made peace with the past and issues. The only way to do this is to observe the past without reliving it over and over again. Observe and see what you can do without. Do you really need to rehash your issues over and over again? With the LOA you aren’t denying or avoiding issues. You are facing the issues and observing them. By observing them you are able to see what kind of pattern you were in at the time and how to change that pattern NOW. Finding the LOA and recognizing that you are responsible for your reality is empowering because if you were able to create up until now, you now have more ‘power’ by knowing you can actually focus deliberately and get the life that you really want.
